1. Rivers Flow Situation Reported by Flood Forecasting Division. All rivers are flowing at Normal levels except River Chenab at Marala, Khanki & Qadirabad at Medium level and River Kabul at Nowshera and River Ravi at Balloki at Low Level. Moderate flooding is expected in the Nullahs of Balochistan and Hill Torrents of D.G Khan Division during next 72 hours.

2. Past Meteorological Situation and Future Forecast by PMD. No significant rainfall but rain-thunderstorm at scattered places in lower Sindh & Balochistan while at isolated places in Central Punjab and Islamabad was reported in last 24 hours. Forecast for next 24 hours predicts scattered thunderstorm / rain with isolated heavy falls over South & South-eastern Sindh, Eastern Balochistan, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, D.I.Khan, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore,
Sargodha, Bahawalpur & D.G Khan Divisions alongwith upper catchments of Rivers Jhelum,
Chenab, Ravi & Sutlej. Isolated thunderstorm / rain over Faisalabad, Multan & Sahiwal Divisions.

- Significant Events Last 24 Hours.
a. Due to heavy rains, a Kacha House collapsed at Village Arawali, Lower Kurram on 14 July 2017 at 2000 hrs. 2 x Deaths, 7 x Seriously injured were reported during the incident.
b. Due to flash flood / heavy rains in District Lasbela, Balochistan on 15 July 2017, a bridge on Quetta – Karachi Road (N-25) at Overnach near Wadh was severely damaged. A car with 2 x Persons was washed away in flooded water stream. Dead bodies have been recovered.
c. Due to heavy rains, a wall collapsed in Parawo Camp Tehsil Jalala Takht Bahi,
District Mardan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 16 July 2017 at 0430 hours. 1 x Death and 2 x Seriously injured were reported. Injured children were shifted to THQ & MMC Hospital, Mardan by Rescue 1122.
5. Road Situation (NHA and Respective Provinces)
a. Quetta – Karachi Road (N-25) blocked at Overnach near Wadh, District Lasbela has been restored at 0600 hrs on 16 July 2017.
b. Gigit – Skardu Road (S-1) blocked due to landslides on 12 July 2017 has been opened for all type of traffic on 15 July 2017.
c. All other roads across the Country are clear for all types of traffic.
6. Railway Situation. All railway routes are clear.
7. Preliminary Losses / Damages Reported a. 5 x Deaths, 9 x Seriously injured & 2 x Houses fully damaged reported during last 24 hours in the Country.
b. 5 x Houses partially damaged and 15 Kanal of standing Potato crops were damaged due to a GLOF event in Naltar Balla, District Gilgit, GB on 13 July 2017.

9. Any Critical Activity to Report. Nothing to Report.
10. NDMA Recommendations. Considering Weather Advisory No 2 issued by PMD on 13 July 2017, all concerned departments are advised to remain on High Alert from 16 – 19 July 2017 and ensure following necessary actions:-a. Clearance of sewerage / drainage system in all major cities especially Karachi, Hyderabad, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Quetta & Peshawar by relevant stakeholders. Critical monitoring of main sewerage channels of major cities like Lai Nullah be ensured by relevant stakeholders.
b. Issue timely alerts to people residing in / close to river plains / water courses.
c. Public awareness to vacate dangerous buildings, remain away from electric wires / poles and avoid swimming during periods of intense rain.
d. Sensitize vulnerable population not to venture into nullahs / flash flooding routes.
e. NHA, FWO and C&W Depts of respective Provinces / Regions to remain vigilant in restoring road links and tourist be cautioned to avoid travelling to vulnerable areas.
f. NIH / NHEPRN to advise all provincial Health departments about pre-positioning of necessary staff and medicines, where required.
g. Staff of emergency services be sensitized for availability on weekend.
h. There is a possibility of landslides in AJK, KP & GB areas, vulnerable population as well as tourists should be sensitized to remain alert and necessary preventive measures be taken.
