Highlights
A 7.5 magnitude earthquake centred in northeastern Afghanistan struck on 26 October, causing significant damage and casualties across Afghanistan, Pakistan and India.
The Afghan government estimates that approximately 6,900 families have been affected by the earthquake, with 84 individuals killed and 394 injured. This estimate is subject to change as more areas are accessed.
IOM has so far completed assessments in 40 districts, and aid distributions are underway for affected families in several provinces.
