Rivers Flow Situation Reported by Flood Forecasting Division. All rivers are flowing at Normal Level. Flows are likely to increase significantly in Rivers Ravi, Chenab & Jhelum along with associated Nullahs from 10th July 2017. Details at Annex A.
Past Meteorological Situation and Future Forecast by PMD. Significant rainfalls reported in last 24 hours at Kot Addu – 69 mm, Lahore – 66 mm and Sargodha – 44 mm. Forecast for next 24 hours predicts Wind-thundershowers with very heavy isolated rainfalls are expected over Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab. Details at Annex B.
Significant Events Last 24 Hours. Due to lightning strike on 6 July 2017 at 1520 hours 1 x death was reported in District Tank, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Road Situation (NHA and Respective Provinces). All roads across the Country are clear for all types of traffic.
Railway Situation. All railway routes are clear for traffic.

a. 1 x death was reported in District Tank, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Any Critical Activity to Report. Nothing to Report.
NDMA Recommendation. Recent rains have highlighted some of the weaknesses / anomalies which if not addressed can aggravate flooding situation in urban centres as well as along the water courses and hilly areas:
a. Clearance of sewerage / drainage system in all major cities including Karachi, Rawalpindi, Lahore & Peshawar by all stakeholders.
b. Shifting of people residing in / close to river plains / water courses.
c. Raising awareness to public with regards to vacating dangerous buildings, remaining away from electric wires and avoid swimming during rain.
d. Awareness about not venturing into nullahs / flash flooding routes.
e. NHA, FWO and C&W Depts of respective Provinces / Regions may please remain vigilant in restoring road linkages.
f. NHEPRN to ensure that spread of water borne diseases are mitigated by pre-placement of necessary medicines / vaccinations where required.
