Islamabad, 7 August 2015: "Pakistani women should make sure to breastfeed their babies for at least first six months of their lives to build their immunity against various infant diseases," said Ms. Angela Kearney, UNICEF Representative in Pakistan, during an interview given to Radio Pakistan, the country's national radio, in connection with the World Breastfeeding Week observed every year from 1st to 7th August.
In the exclusive interview with News and Current Affairs Channel of Radio Pakistan, Ms. Kearney said, "Pakistani women should be given the knowledge that breastfeeding is best for their children."
