Humanitarian Strategic Plan 2016
The Food Security Cluster is striving to advocate and high-light the utmost and unmet needs of people in the areas of returns of FATA as they are in dire need of resumption of livelihood activities based on local practices for restoring the household food security. The returnee people of FATA remained on our top priority for targeting in the second quarter of year 2016; however, improving in getting access and sufficient funding in livelihood sectors can play a vital role in ensuring the people back to normal life after protracted disaster in form of displacement.
Overall, in the first half (Jan – Jun) of HSP 2016, Food Security Cluster planned to target a total of 1.5 million in the areas of displacement, returns and hosting of FATA and KP through nutritious food, cash transfer programing, livestock, agriculture including rehabilitation of productive and community infrastructure.
Keeping in view of the current access situation and limited funding substantially less in livelihood sector, FSC has managed to assist around 1.3 million people under the close collaboration of all stakeholders (UN, INGOs, NGOs, and civil societies). In the assisted caseload, almost 24% women, 29% men, 20% girl and 27% boys household were supported.
